Sanatorium Merkurial 2026
Sanatorium Merkurial 2026
London · Berlin · Mexico City
Sanatorium of Sound and the artistic collective Merkurial join forces for an international concert project. This autumn, Sanatorium Merkurial travels to London, Berlin and Mexico City, bringing together artists developing individual musical languages across electronics, improvisation, tradition and contemporary composition.
The project grew out of the collaboration between Sanatorium of Sound, the experimental music festival based in Sokołowsko, Poland, and Merkurial, the artistic and publishing collective founded by Robert Piotrowicz and Jacek Sienkiewicz. They share an interest in music that resists fixed categories and in listening as a physical experience shaped by intensity, tension, space and the relationship between performer and audience.
The name Merkurial evokes instability and transitions between states. The programme brings together distinct artistic practices in which the transformation of sound opens up new forms and ways of listening.
The first concert of this year’s project marks the beginning of a new collaboration with IKLECTIK. Joining us in Peckham are: Rashad Becker // Robert Piotrowicz // Jacek Sienkiewicz
