The In Situ Contemporary Art Foundation in Sokołowsko is an international space for art, creative processes, education and cooperations.

Sokołowsko (German: Görbersdorf) is a former health resort in a picturesque valley, where the first world-renowned sanatorium was established in 1855. In 2007, artists Bożenna Biskupska and Zygmunt Rytka began restoring the ruins of Dr Brehmer’s Old Sanatorium to transform them into the International Culture Laboratory – a space for nurturing talent and realising international and interdisciplinary artistic, educational, social and science projects. We organise festivals: Hommage à Kieślowski, Sanatorium of Sound, Konteksty, as well as exhibitions, creative workshop. In Situ oversees also the Archive of Krzysztof Kieślowski’s work and the former ‘Zdrowie’ Cinema Theatre, and runs the Villa Rosa Residency Centre.
