“Audiosfera Bez Barier”

“Audiosfera Bez Barier” is an artistic and educational project based in Sokołowsko, aimed at creating spaces where people with disabilities can engage with the art of sound. The project promotes cultural accessibility through creative, educational and inclusive activities, in which sound becomes a tool for exploring the world, communicating and creating together.
As part of the project, five workshop groups will be formed, led by experienced artists and educators working in collaboration with coordinators and an accessibility specialist. Participants will jointly explore the Sokołowsko audiosphere – its soundscape, nature and public space.
Around 20 people with cognitive, communication and sensory difficulties will take part in the project. The workshop programme will be tailored to the individual needs of the participants and will include, amongst other things:
– introductions and lectures on music and the art of sound
– sound walks and mindful listening to the surroundings
– recording and processing ambient sounds
– creating multi-channel sound compositions
– workshops and concerts
The creative process will culminate in a public presentation of the workshop outcomes. The resulting works will be showcased in the spaces of the Spa Park in Sokołowsko, at the International Culture Laboratory and at the Zdrowie Cinema.
“Audiosfera Bez Barier” develops a model of inclusive cultural activities in which participation in the arts is possible regardless of limitations or individual needs. The project demonstrates that the experience of sound can become a shared space for creativity, dialogue and relationship-building.
The project was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund – a state-funded special-purpose fund.
