Tourism

Sokołowsko is a picturesque village situated in the Sudetes, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, known for its charming spa and beautiful landscapes. The town, which for several years was home to the famous director Krzysztof Kieślowski, delights visitors with its spa atmosphere, the ornate façades of historic buildings and a picturesque park.

Many smaller and larger mountain trails run through Sokołowsko, including the region’s most important one, the Mieczysław Orłowicz Main Sudeten Trail. Equally beautiful are the smaller trails criss-crossing the valleys of the Suchy Mountains and the Wałbrzych Sudeten Landscape Park.

Furthermore, the town boasts a historic Orthodox church, the ‘Zdrowie’ cinema-theatre, and sanatorium buildings dating from the time of Dr Brehmer’s practice. As a base, Sokołowsko is ideally situated for trips to other gems of Lower Silesia: the ruins of Radosno Castle, Skalne Miasto, or the historic Evangelical cemetery in Bukowiec.
